From 6–8 October, 2026, Building Bridges returns to Geneva for its seventh edition, aligning finance with sustainability.

Organised by the Building Bridges Foundation on behalf of its Founding Partners — a unique alliance spanning the financial sector, public authorities, and Geneva-based international organisations — our annual flagship event is a launchpad for investment-ready ideas, strategic alliances, and high-impact partnerships.

More than ever, regulators, business, public and private finance, and the multilateral system must work in collaboration. We look forward to welcoming you back to Geneva to shape the global sustainable finance agenda, together.

Hosted Events

Alongside the core programme, Building Bridges 2026 will host pivotal high-level convenings, including an endorsement meeting of The Global Innovation Lab for Climate Finance (the Lab), in collaboration with Climate Policy Initiative, and will coincide with the Annual General Meeting of the UN-convened Net-Zero Asset Owner Alliance, underscoring Geneva’s role as a hub for advancing climate finance solutions.

Who’s attending?

The strength of Building Bridges rests in its diversity. The scale and complexity of transitioning to a sustainable financial system requires the contributions of all sectors of society – the finance industry, companies, start-ups, governments, the UN, NGOs, academic institutions, philanthropists, asset owners, and more. Participating in Building Bridges gives you the opportunity to connect with different actors and find opportunities for collaboration.

2025 Participant Diversity

New to sustainable finance?

In collaboration with UNITAR, we are delighted to feature the free UNCC: e-Learn course, “Introduction to Sustainable Finance” for those new to the topic. It is a self-paced, 10-hour course which provides technical knowledge on the contribution that sustainable finance can make to sustainable development and on how it may be deployed in real-world policy or business contexts.

This course was originally developed in 2018 by Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken (SEB) and Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH. In 2021, the course was updated with support from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and the Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE), a One UN initiative bringing together five UN agencies.

We are delighted to offer our community a 20% coupon off the full price of certification (CODE: BRIDGEBUILDER20). Valid until 8 November 2026.
