Climate Innovative Finance Nature Systemic Change

Global value chains face converging, system level pressures from climate impacts, nature loss and resource scarcity. This session explores how companies can strengthen resilience along value chains using two types of strategic intervention, including the role of nature‑based solutions and circularity strategies in strengthening long‑term value and capital allocation.

Value chains face growing pressures from climate, nature and social impacts, as well as resource volatility, threatening business continuity and financial value. This session explores resilience approaches that protect value chains and long-term performance, with a focus on nature-based solutions and circularity. It will also examine how financial actors can help build resilient value chains through risk-transfer mechanisms, project and blended-finance models, and policy barriers. Participants will leave with practical examples of resilience strategies, a better understanding of the financial mechanisms that support them, and insights into how to scale resilience across value chains.
