Turning boiler replacements into heat pump installs.

Heat pump retrofit usually means new radiators, new pipework and weeks of disruption, so most UK boiler replacements default to gas and lock in another 15 years of fossil heat. Adia is the operating layer that makes a heat pump work on the radiators and cylinder already in the home. Embedded hardware and machine learning infer the home’s thermal behaviour, balance every room and unlock 4-6x more energy flex potential. Over 150 homes running, sold through distributors and installers. In our July survey comfort rose from 6.4 to 8.8 out of 10 and 95% reported same or lower bills compared to gas.

Business model description: Adia sells a hardware bundle (hub, flow valves, room sensors) to heating distributors and installers at about £950 per home. Recurring software layers then stack on the installed base: an installer subscription, a homeowner subscription, and energy flexibility sold to grid operators.
