Senior Policy and Partnership Advisor - Taskforce on Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures (TISFD)
Luisa Bernal is Senior Policy and Partnerships Advisor for the Taskforce on Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures (TISFD), bringing over 20 years of experience in international development. She leads engagement with policymakers and regulators, builds strategic partnerships with diverse stakeholders, and supports resource mobilization to advance TISFD’s mission.
Prior to this role, she served as a Policy Specialist at the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), where she led programmes on sustainable finance and inclusive growth. Earlier in her career, she coordinated the Trade for Development Programme at the South Centre in Geneva, advising developing countries on multilateral trade negotiations.
She also held positions in the Government of Venezuela, including Project Manager at the Ministry of Production and Commerce, where she worked on regional trade integration and investment issues, and Economic Attaché at Venezuela’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Geneva. In this capacity, she represented her country at the World Trade Organization and other international fora.
She holds a Master of International Affairs from the School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA) at Columbia University in New York.
