Juanita has been long acquainted with and fascinated by the diversity of life on earth and the efforts to protect it. As biodiversity impact specialist and consultant, she supports efforts to mainstream biodiversity and nature in investment decisions in different sectors. As researcher and consultant for biodiversity and sustainable development, Juanita has advised international cooperation projects on nature and birdwatching tourism. She is also involved in initiatives that promote private conservation. Juanita holds a Doctoral degree in Evolutionary Biology and a MAS ETH in Development and Cooperation.
