Fintech & AI Impact Investing Systemic Change

Impact investing and blended finance continue to face a major obstacle: fragmented, inconsistent and non-comparable data. This interactive Design Lab explores how AI-enabled infrastructure could help address these challenges by improving data accessibility, reporting consistency and evidence-based capital allocation. Building on insights generated through PRISM Impact Lab, participants will engage in facilitated discussions on investor data needs, AI-enabled system design, and pathways to institutional adoption. The session is designed to generate practical recommendations for the future development of market infrastructure supporting impact investing and sustainable finance.

This short section provides context for the event to ensure all participants, regardless of prior knowledge, are equipped to engage with the discussion.

Reliable, comparable data is essential for capital allocation. Yet across impact investing and blended finance, fragmented reporting and inconsistent methodologies make it difficult for investors to compare opportunities and assess performance.

This session builds on the work of PRISM Impact Lab, a SIFI Ecosystem Window initiative developed with ETH Zurich and Tameo Impact Fund Solutions. Swiss Sustainable Finance (SSF) contributes an industry perspective to ensure relevance for investors and financial institutions. Together, the partners will explore how AI can support more accessible, comparable and decision-useful information.
