Climate Impact Investing Innovative Finance Social Systemic Change

Gender and climate finance remain siloed — as do the metrics we use to measure them. This session challenges this, bringing together investors and practitioners to explore how to integrate these lenses, credibly measure impact, and scale solutions. Drawing on cases from 2X Global, AlphaMundi Foundation, and Accelerating Impact, participants engage in practical discussions on applying a gender and climate lens in finance, designing actionable metrics, and mobilising capital for impact at scale.

Framing this topic

This short section provides context for the event to ensure all participants, regardless of prior knowledge, are equipped to engage with the discussion.

Gender and climate finance remain siloed—missing opportunities and limiting impact. Yet integrating these lenses strengthens resilience, improves investment performance, and enables more effective capital allocation. But integration only holds up when backed by credible impact metrics that reflect real value for beneficiaries and investors. Drawing on 2X Global’s track record in mobilising gender-smart capital, AMF’s experience in climate, inclusive and innovative finance, and lessons from Accelerating Impact, this World Café uses real portfolio cases to explore how to bridge this divide in practice—across integration, measurement, and scaling solutions in emerging economies.
