Climate Impact Investing Nature Systemic Change

As climate change, nature loss and supply chain disruption increasingly threaten food security and agricultural productivity, regenerative agriculture is moving from a sustainability ambition to a business and investment imperative. This session will explore how investors, farmers, operators and food companies can work together to build regenerative value chains that deliver both attractive financial returns and measurable environmental outcomes.

Featuring a keynote from Marc Palahi, Chief Nature Officer at Lombard Odier Investment Managers, alongside José Maria Ortiz, Managing Partner at NatureCo, and leaders from across the value chain, the discussion will examine the partnerships, financing approaches and long-term offtake agreements needed to scale the transition. Panellists will explore how regenerative practices can mitigate climate-related risks, strengthen supply security and create lasting value for farmers, investors and consumers, while highlighting practical insights and lessons learned from across the ecosystem.

Join us for what promises to be an insightful and engaging discussion on one of the most important opportunities in the transition to a nature-positive economy.

Europe

This section provides context for the event to ensure all participants, regardless of prior knowledge, are equipped to engage with the discussion.

As Southern Europe faces recurring extreme heat, drought and devastating wildfires, the vulnerability of food and agricultural systems is becoming increasingly evident. More frequent climate and nature-related shocks are reducing crop yields, disrupting supply chains, influencing food prices and creating new risks for farmers, businesses and consumers.

In response, attention is turning to regenerative agriculture, a sustainable farming approach based on practices such as crop rotation and diversification, reduced use of synthetic agrochemicals and techniques that minimise soil disturbance. By working with natural processes to restore soil health, enhance biodiversity and improve water retention, it offers a promising way to strengthen productivity, ecosystem health and long-term resilience.
