Sustainable finance is growing, yet investments with social objectives are lacking behind. Especially those targeting more & better jobs. Since investment in jobs is driving economic growth, business expansion, productivity and innovation, and preparing talent to adapt to the technological and climate transitions of today, it is critical to increase capital allocations. And it is critical to do so intentionally to have a real-world effect: integrate jobs in our investment theses, innovate product design, measure and report on decision useful indicators to learn and course correct. Importantly, jobs unite the entire finance ecosystem – it’s our livelihoods, identity, and ambitions, everywhere.
