The climate and biodiversity crises are now coupled with the rise of an illiberal wave. Finance fuels the exceeding of planetary boundaries and many disrespect of the rights of local communities and indigenous peoples. Investment banks and asset or wealth managers too often favor oligarchic economy actors who attack climate objectives and ESG criteria.
How can we change course? What kind of finance is needed to bring about a widespread ‘buen vivir’ economy?
