Chief Finance Officer - Global Partnership for Education (GPE)

Padraig Power is the Chief Financial Officer and leads the Finance and Grant Operations function at the Global Partnership for Education where he has worked since 2012. During his time at GPE, he has managed a complete transformation of GPE’s financial planning, management and reporting functions allowing GPE to rapidly increase the volume of grant disbursements. He has played a key role in the development of GPE’s operational model, and its Financing and Funding Framework that determines how GPE funding is raised and delivered, particularly through innovative financing approaches that have helped mobilize billions of dollars in additional financing to support education system transformation.  Prior to working at GPE, he worked with the Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria working in a range of operational, governance, and corporate finance roles at progressively senior levels, and before that worked for the Office of the Comptroller and Auditor General of Ireland. He is an Irish national and fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA).
