Senior Business Development and Operations Officer - International Telecommunication Union (ITU)

Kseniia Fontaine, based in Geneva, Switzerland, serves as Senior Business Development and Operations Officer at ITU, the United Nations’ specialized agency for digital technologies. In her role, she is dedicated to advancing ITU’s AI initiatives, including the AI for Good platform, by connecting innovators with real-world challenges to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. Driven by the transformative potential of AI, Kseniia actively works to position ITU at the forefront of AI for social good, leveraging AI’s capacity to address global challenges, enhance societal welfare, and promote ethical technology adoption.

Prior to ITU, Kseniia was a Project Manager at ISO, International Standards Organization. In particular, she managed external relations with ISO members and provided technical support to enhance member engagement and operational performance.

On the academic front, Kseniia holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Geneva and is currently pursuing an MBA from the SBS Swiss Business School in Zurich. Additionally, she completed an executive course from the MIT Sloan School of Management on Strategic Business Implications of AI.

Kseniia is fluent in English, French, Russian and Ukrainian, and has a basic understanding of Spanish.
