Kawtar Zerouali is the Deputy Director of UNCDF’s Natural Assets Team (NAT) based in Kigali, Rwanda, focusing on mobilizing blended finance and innovative financial solutions to scale climate-adaptive businesses. Her work emphasizes investments in nature-positive and adaptation-centric enterprises, demonstrating the power of public-private partnerships to build strong local economies.
Prior to joining UNCDF, Kawtar held several leadership roles within UNDP, including Deputy Resident Representative in Djibouti and KSA, Regional Innovation Advisor and Gender Advisor.
Her work spans global, regional, and national levels, with a focus on financial inclusivity, systems transformation, and leveraging innovative financing to address complex development challenges.
