Katie Self
Investment Manager, Thematic Equities - Pictet Asset Management
Katie Self joined Pictet Asset Management in 2022 and is an Investment Manager in the Thematic Equities team.
Prior to joining Pictet, Katie spent six years as a sell-side research analyst at Morgan Stanley in London, where she covered the European Industrials sector with a particular focus on investment opportunities in industrial automation, renewable energy and the hydrogen economy.
Katie holds a PhD in Chemistry and Materials Science from the University of St Andrews and was a visiting research scholar at Fudan University in Shanghai. Additionally, Katie published multiple peer-reviewed papers in scientific journals and spent a year as an R&D scientist at a US nanotechnology company focusing on catalyst technologies for vehicle emissions reduction.
Katie also holds the CFA Institute Certificate in ESG Investing.
