Katherine Pittore

Director of Policy and Communications - Access to Nutrition Initiative (ATNI)

Katherine Pittore is a policy and communications specialist with more than 15 years of experience working at the intersection of nutrition, food systems, public health and sustainable development. Her work focuses on translating evidence into action by supporting stronger policies, accountability mechanisms and multi-stakeholder collaboration to improve food environments and nutrition outcomes.

Throughout her career, Katherine has worked with NGOs, research institutions, governments and international partners across Africa, Europe and Asia. Prior to joining the Access to Nutrition Initiative (ATNi), she was a Nutrition and Food Security Advisor at the Wageningen Centre for Development Innovation, where she contributed to programmes focused on agriculture, nutrition and food systems transformation. She has also held roles with the Institute of Development Studies, RESULTS UK, where she established and led the organisation’s nutrition advocacy portfolio, and with Save the Children UK.

Katherine is passionate about advancing healthier, more equitable and sustainable food systems that enable better nutrition outcomes for all.
