Eric J. Roberts, Climate and Disaster Risk Finance Senior Manager on The Nature Conservancy’s Global Climate Adaptation and Resilience Team, leads TNC’s global strategy on nature-based risk reduction and risk transfer. In collaboration with partners representing diverse interests from the community to global scale, including government, private sector, and the insurance industry, he advances projects that integrate nature based solutions into disaster risk reduction and recovery efforts and employ innovative financial tools, such as insurance for nature, to transform how communities manage climate risk, build resilience, and adapt to climate change. Prior to TNC, Eric mediated public and environmental conflicts, assessed water quality as an environmental scientist, and advanced ecotourism and conservation projects as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Paraguay. He holds a Master of Science in Conservation Ecology, Policy and Planning from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Management from Indiana University.
