Dare Odumade is the founder and CEO of Chekkit Technologies, a supply-chain technology company combating counterfeit products through digital twin identities, traceability and consumer authentication. His entrepreneurial journey began at the University, where he co-founded a social network used by more than 30,000 students. He later launched Sharebunk, a music-streaming and messaging platform that reached 5,000 monthly active users and secured distribution partnerships covering millions of tracks.

In 2018, Dare founded Chekkit to combat counterfeit goods, particularly falsified medicines. Its digital-twin infrastructure gives physical products secure identities through QR and PIN codes, data-matrix codes and smart sensors, enabling authentication and end-to-end supply-chain visibility. Chekkit has managed more than 1.5 billion digital assets for over 140 brands, including Merck, SC Johnson and Flour Mills of Nigeria, while helping protect an estimated two million consumers annually.

Under Dare’s leadership, Chekkit has collaborated with SAP, GS1, NAFDAC, the Gates Foundation, IFAD and Amazon Transparency. Dare also contributes to the global Verification and Traceability Initiative, supporting the adoption of GS1-based traceability frameworks in emerging markets. His work has helped Chekkit earn honours including the 2022 Global Startup Award for Best Commerce Tech in Africa and the 2021 World Summit Award.
