Daniel Schmitz-Remberg is a serial entrepreneur, ecosystem builder and a leading figure in corporate climate adaptation. Heat, floods and drought have arrived in operations, supply chains and balance sheets – and with them the will to act. His work gives that will direction: a clear view of what to do first, what it is worth, and which solutions actually work – and he brings together the people who need to make it happen, from corporates and insurers to investors, scientists and public institutions.

After many years as a sustainability strategist at Accenture Strategy, he moved to the other side of the table – building start-ups and investing in them – before founding DSR & Partners, a boutique advisory dedicated entirely to corporate climate adaptation. In 2024 he launched the world’s first “Corporate Climate Adaptation” Conference and the Adaptation Tech Award. In 2026 he initiated the Adaptation Exchange, a cross-sector platform where 30+ corporates, financial institutions and public bodies – among them Allianz, Zurich, BASF, Bayer, ArcelorMIttal, PwC, ERM and UNIDO – build the tools that turn intent into action: 1. a common resilience assessment, 2. a business case CFOs actually accept, and 3. a curated stack of over 250 adaptation solutions.

He publishes on the economics of adaptation and co-edits the Adaptation10 newsletter on climate adaptation innovations. His credo: “We enable you to take the first or next step towards resilience. Together.”
