Craig Courtney

Director - ISF

Craig Courtney is a Director at ISF, specializing in innovative solutions for international development finance, with a particular focus on food systems. He leads financial advisory projects, including work with organizations like FASA, Aceli and SEFAA.
Previously, Craig was Director of External Relations at the Global Alliance for Improved Nutrition (GAIN), where he oversaw resource mobilization, strategic communications and advocacy, and private sector partnerships. During his tenure, these efforts contributed to the creation of the Access to Nutrition Index (ATNI) and the Nutritious Foods Financing Facility (N3F).
Prior to his work in development finance, Craig spent more than 20 years in investment banking in Asia and Europe, advising governments and corporations on strategic and capital-raising matters. He held senior Corporate Finance roles at HSBC and ABN AMRO Rothschild.
Craig holds an MBA from Cornell University and a BA in Economics from the University of California, Davis.
