Ann Wyman is a Senior Partner at AfricInvest, a leading African investment platform managing multiple alternative asset classes including private equity, venture capital and private credit, including blended finance. She is the firm’s the Chief Economist, head of Investor Engagement, and a member of the Executive Committee. Ann is also a Senior Advisor at Gatehouse Advisory Partners, a London-based geopolitical consulting firm. She was previously a Managing Director and head of Emerging Markets Research in Europe for both Citi and Nomura. Ann currently serves as a Director and Vice Chair of the African Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (AVCA), as well as a director of CMGP.CAS, a Moroccan agricultural solutions platform. She was a founding board member of the US government-funded Tunisian American Enterprise Fund (TAEF), sitting on the Investment Committee for the fund’s SME financing vehicle for over a decade. She has also served on the Boards of the American Cooperative School of Tunis (Treasurer) and the British–Tunisian Society. She is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, and obtained her Master’s degree at Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs. In addition to her native English, Ann is fluent in French and Arabic (Tunisian dialect).
