Sustainable Investment Management
Green finance for resilient commodity supply chains.
The Responsible Commodities Facility (RCF) is an initiative to promote the production and trading of responsible soy in Brazil, by creating a financially sustainable vehicle to provide incentives to farmers. RCF provides low-interest green loans to Brazilian soy farmers in return for commitments to conserve forests on their farms. RCF is financed through the issuance of a Brazilian Green Bond called a CRA, registered on the Vienna Stock Exchange and B3 Brazilian Stock Exchange. Our investors include Tesco, Sainsbury’s, McDonald’s, the UK Government, FMO, Rabobank, IADB, and AGRI3.
Investment & impact strategy: RCF is a high-impact green bond providing low-interest “green” loans to soy farmers in Brazil who agree to grow soy without deforestation. The fund is a blended finance vehicle with investments from private and development banks, companies, impact funds, and the GCF.
