Impact VC investment in African insurance ecosystem innovation.

3IF Ventures is Africa’s first impact venture fund dedicated to innovation in the insurance ecosystem, backing early-stage startups that close the protection gap on three fronts: Access, Awareness, Affordability (3A-Challenge). We invest across climate resilience, agriculture, digital health and SMEs, blending private capital, concessional capital and technical assistance. Our goal: 5.9 million new insurance policies and contributing to job creation. 3IF Ventures completed a USD 12m first close, anchored by ZEP-RE and FSDAi.

Investment & impact strategy: We invest equity into early-stage African InsurTechs (pre-seed to Series A), pairing capital with first-loss de-risking and technical assistance. Commercial returns and measurable impact align: job creation + 5.9 million new insurance policies that provide financial resilience across six verticals.
