Accelerating emerging women-led, gender-smart fund managers.

The 2X Ignite Africa Warehousing Facility is an innovative market-building vehicle designed to bridge financing gaps and unlock capital for emerging, women-led African fund managers. Through concessional warehousing loans, managers invest in high-potential, gender-smart enterprises – including those transforming agriculture and smallholder-inclusive value chains – to build an institutional track record. This mechanism de-risks future LP commitments, accelerates first fund closes, and mobilises sustainable growth capital across the continent.

Investment & impact strategy: We provide concessional warehousing loans to women-led African fund managers investing in gender-smart SMEs across key sectors, including agri-processing and agritech. This strategy de-risks new fund models, estimates creating 4,000+ jobs and catalysing $500M+ in commercial capital across Africa.
