Banking Governance and Engagement Lead - UNEP Finance Initiative

Karine Bueno is a senior sustainability and sustainable finance professional with more than 20 years of experience. She is the Banking Governance and Stakeholder Engagement Lead at UNEP Finance Initiative (UNEP FI), where she works with banks, central banks and investors to advance responsible banking and sustainable economic transition globally. Previously, she led the global review process for the UN Principles for Responsible Banking, assessing and supporting more than 350 signatory banks worldwide. She previously served as Head of Sustainability at Santander Brazil and was selected as the 2021 UN Global Compact SDG Pioneer for Sustainable Finance and Development.
