Co-Founder & Managing Partner - Rights CoLab

Ed is Co-Founder & Managing Partner at Rights CoLab, where his work aims at reimagining civil society advocacy, exploring new forms of collaboration and alternative resourcing models. He is currently focusing primarily on human rights and environmental issues relating to the extraction and processing of critical minerals in Indonesia. Previously, he founded PILnet: The Global Network for Public Interest Law (directing it from 1997 through 2015) to support local human rights advocacy, from offices in New York, Budapest, Moscow, Beijing and Hong Kong, He was also a member of the adjunct faculty of Columbia Law School for 21 years and a visiting professor of law at Cardozo Law School and Central European University.
