Jonathan Koifman

Co-Founder / CEO - FrostForge

Jonathan Koifman is a renewable hard-tech entrepreneur tying together engineering, business development and international energy markets. In 2024 he co-founded FrostForge in Geneva on one conviction: cold, once a luxury, should become a right. FrostForge builds heat-driven chillers and radiant cooling that turn sunlight and waste heat into cold, grid-free. Their target is the cooling gap: demand for cooling is accelerating faster than the infrastructure built to serve it.

Jonathan was Head of Partner and Channel Sales at TVP Solar, joining as the first commercial hire. Over 15 years he built and trained partner networks and sales teams across four continents. He originated Groningen, a 37 MWth solar district-heating plant that became the world’s fourth-largest, saving approximately 6,000 tonnes of CO₂ annually.

An international speaker, Jonathan notably presented at the IEA Solar Heating and Cooling Programme in Shanghai in 2015 and led project-development sessions at South Africa’s 2025 Solar Process Heat Training Week.
As CEO of FrostForge, Jonathan secured Venture Kick funding and private capital for prototype and MVP development, while guiding FrostForge through BlueLion and CDL-Montréal. In 2026, FrostForge was selected for the W.A. de Vigier Awards Top 17.
