Eli Koen

Senior Portfolio Manager - Union Bancaire Privée (UBP)

Eli Koen has been a member of the impact investing team at UBP since its creation. He is co-portfolio manager of the Global and Emerging Markets Impact strategies. He also leads the thematic idea generation for Sustainable Communities (SDG 11 and 12). He joined UBP in 2010. Previously Eli Koen was the co-head of Emerging Europe Equities at Fortis Investments in London where he managed the Fortis L Fund Equity Turkey since inception in 2005 until 2010 and co-managed Fortis L Fund Equity Europe Emerging between 2005 and 2010. Prior to fund management, Eli Koen was a research analyst in emerging markets at Goldman Sachs and Lehman Brothers in London and Finansbank in Istanbul between 1993 and 2001.

He holds a Master in International Economics and Finance from The Brandeis University at Waltham, Massachusetts and a bachelor’s degree in Economics from Bogazici University in Istanbul.
