Teresa Hartmann is a climate and nature strategy leader with over a decade of experience driving global sustainability efforts across sectors. She currently works as an independent advisor, supporting high-level strategy and technical implementation for carbon projects and nature-based solutions.

Most recently, Teresa served as Chief Ratings Officer at BeZero Carbon, where she led and scaled a 70-person team of climate and geospatial scientists, overseeing assessments of more than 400 carbon projects worldwide. Prior to that, she shaped quality standards for the voluntary carbon market as the Secretariat Lead for the Technical Committee of the Integrity Council.

Previously, as Lead for Climate and Nature at the World Economic Forum, Teresa spearheaded initiatives on corporate net zero strategy, natural climate solutions, and heavy industry and transport decarbonization, working closely with global executives and policymakers. She began her career in the UN system, contributing to the SDG process, UN Energy, and UNEP FI’s sustainable finance programs.
