Raúl Gauto is President and CEO of Forestal Sylvis and Biocomplejo Petricor. A forestry engineer with an MSc in Forest Economics from Virginia Tech (USA), he has over three decades of experience in sustainable land use, conservation, and impact-driven development. He co-founded the Moisés Bertoni Foundation, where he led the creation of the Mbaracayú Forest Nature Reserve (64,406 ha), the largest remaining tract of Atlantic Forest in Paraguay and the country’s first private reserve recognized by law; he served as its Executive Director for a decade and today is Chairman of its Board. He also contributed to the B Corporation International system as a former board member, bringing his conservation and sustainability expertise to a global stage.
