Senior Lead, Human Rights & Social Issues - Principles for Responsible Investment

Nikolaj Pedersen is the PRI’s senior lead on human rights and social issues. He works to support investors and policymakers in addressing risks and opportunities related to social factors, to tackle systemic challenges and deliver on social goals set out in the SDGs and international human rights frameworks. He represents the PRI as a Founding Partner to the Taskforce for Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures (TISFD) and on the World Benchmarking Alliance’s (WBA) Social Expert Review Committee. He was previously an observer member to the Social Taxonomy sub-group of the EU Platform for Sustainable Finance.

Prior to joining the PRI, he worked in the business and human rights field in Denmark in both consulting and the private sector. He holds a master’s degree in international studies from Aarhus University and financial qualifications IMC and CAIA.
