Markus Reubi

Delegate of the Federal Council for the 2030 Agenda - Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Switzerland

Markus Reubi is the Swiss Special Envoy for the 2030 Agenda. In this role, he co-leads Switzerland’s national implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, bridging government, business, academia and civil society. He also represents Switzerland at the UN-High Level Political Forum and coordinates the Voluntary National Review for the 3rd comprehensive country report. A career diplomat since 2003, he has served in leadership positions in Japan, Canada and China. Prior to joining the Ministry of Foreign Affairs he worked for international management consulting companies. He holds a law degree from the University of St. Gallen and an Executive MBA from McGill University and HEC Montréal.
