Luz Leyva

Head of Blended Finance - Symbiotics Asset Management

Luz Leyva is the Head of Blended Finance at Symbiotics Asset Management, a position she assumed in early 2025. She joined the company in 2021 as Portfolio Manager for REGMIFA, where she oversaw portfolio management services, and was appointed Fund Manager in 2024.

Prior to Symbiotics, Luz spent nearly eight years at MFX Solutions, where she most recently served as Director of Hedging Services after holding roles as Economist and Vice President of Hedging Services. Earlier in her career, she worked as a consultant with the Development Impact Department of the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in Washington D.C., and in the Treasury Department of Citibank/Banamex in Monterrey, Mexico.

Luz holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Economic Policy and Management from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs (SIPA). She has been a CFA charterholder since 2015.
