Laura Foschi
Executive Director - ADA
Laura has 25 years of experience in inclusive and sustainable finance, impact finance, sustainable development and the green economy. She is currently the Executive Director of the Luxembourgish inclusive finance NGO ADA and is a Member of the Board of Directors of the Social Performance Task Force (SPTF) – Europe as well as of the Financial Innovation Tool (FIT) SIS. She is also a Member of the Strategic Committee of the West African Confederation of Financial Institutions CIF-AO as well as of the Impact Investment Advisory Board (IIAB) of the Luxembourgish Sustainable Finance Initiative (LSFI).
Prior to working at ADA, she was the General Director of a microfinance investment vehicle for seven years after having worked as a consultant for UN agencies such as CEPAL (Comission Economica para America Latina y Caribe) as well as for European Commission-funded microfinance technical assistance and capacity building programmes in Latina America, Africa and the Balkans for over ten years.
She has been a member of various boards and committees since 2010, notably in the areas of consumer protection, financial cooperatives and ethical banks. Laura holds postgraduate university degrees in economics and finance as well as in environmental management and has since obtained various certifications, including in environmental and social risk management from UNEP FI and in financial inclusion from the Harvard Kennedy School.
