Juraj Jurík

Director, Infrastructure and Nature - Global Infrastructure Basel (GIB) Foundation

Mr. Juraj Jurík is the Director of the Infrastructure and Nature Pillar at the Global Infrastructure Basel Foundation (GIB), where he spearheads the organization’s work on integrating Nature-based Solutions (NbS) into sustainable infrastructure planning across Europe. His leadership is instrumental in shaping how infrastructure investments can align with natural systems to enhance climate resilience.

Previously, Juraj served as the Project Manager of the EU-funded ThinkNature initiative, where he co-founded and coordinated a network of national stakeholder platforms dedicated to advancing NbS across nearly all EU member states.

Before joining GIB, he worked at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) in Geneva, driving efforts to scale private sector adoption of Natural Infrastructure to safeguard critical ecosystem services.

With a track record of building cross-sector coalitions and advancing nature-aligned solutions at scale, Juraj is a recognized leader in the intersection of infrastructure, climate resilience, and ecological innovation.
