Senior Sustainability and Research Manager - Thomson Reuters Foundation

Joy Zhang is a Senior Research Manager at the Thomson Reuters Foundation, where she leads the Workforce Disclosure Initiative (WDI) and the AI Company Data Initiative (AICDI), both designed to strengthen corporate social disclosure and inform responsible investment strategies. She also oversees new survey products, including an SME Human Rights Due Diligence (HRDD) tool to support supply chain accountability and a Green Employment survey to promote just transition pathway development. Joy’s work bridges social data strategy, stakeholder engagement, and policy alignment, helping investors and companies translate complex social issues into actionable insights.

Prior to joining the Foundation, Joy worked as an ESG consultant and researcher, supporting institutional investors on sustainable investment strategies. Her past projects include work on financial inclusion, impact investing, and sovereign ESG risk modelling across emerging and developed markets.
