Delphine Bachmann

State Councillor - Canton of Geneva

Delphine Bachmann is a Swiss politician and member the Centre party since 2010. In April 2023, she was the youngest candidate elected to the Geneva State Council where she was entrusted with the Department of Economy and Employment.

Prior to that, Delphine Bachmann served on the Grand Council of the Canton of Geneva. She was first elected as a deputy in 2015, then as a full member in 2017 and re-elected in 2018. Additionally, in 2020, she won the cantonal presidency of her party. In 2021, she was appointed to Val Fleuri’s Board of Directors.

Besides her political career, Delphine Bachmann is a trained nurse who began her career at the Geneva University Hospitals in 2011. She then specialized in oncology and joined the private clinic Les Grangettes in 2014. There, she founded the Breast Center, of which she was appointed administrative director in 2019. She was then promoted to the Executive Committee in 2020. The same year, she joined the Business Development unit of Hirslanden Geneva and later became Hospital Office Manager in 2021. From 2012 to 2019, she also worked as an assistant teacher and contract teacher at the Haute Ecole de Santé de Genève. In 2022, she was also appointed as a member of the Strategic Council of the Medicine Faculty at the University of Geneva. In 2023, she resigned from all her positions to focus on her political career.

Delphine Bachmann holds a bachelor’s degree in nursing care and an executive master’s degree in business administration in risk management from the Haute Ecole de Santé de Genève.
