Data Researcher - Global Canopy

Nicola is a Data Researcher in the Nature-related Finance team at Global Canopy. She is heavily involved in the development of the EU Dependency Dashboard providing essential data on EU countries’ nature-related economic risks. Before joining Global Canopy, Nicola was undertaking research using data-driven methods and earth observation to help upscale and finance blue carbon systems. Prior to this, she spent over a decade in environmental risk management including developing adaptation strategies, delivering risk and resilience projects and policy research. She has a PhD in Environmental Intelligence and is particularly interested in the use of data and technology to drive innovation and system change for sustainable futures.
