Managing Director, Africa - Healthy Brains Global Initiative

Julia Greenland leads the development and implementation of outcome-based mental health programs in Africa. Before joining HBGI, she spent seven years at the Children’s Investment Fund Foundation (CIFF), where she directed investments in African girls’ health and empowerment, including pioneering Development Impact Bonds for Adolescent Reproductive Health. Julia previously held frontline service delivery roles with Marie Stopes International in Kenya, Papua New Guinea, and Uganda.

She holds an MSc from the London School of Economics, a Postgraduate Diploma from Oxford University, and is a trained Executive Leadership Coach. Julia lives in Nairobi with her husband and two daughters.
