Head - Nature Finance Accelerator

Henrique brings two decades of global experience in designing and structuring innovative financial solutions that deliver both returns and impact. He has worked across 70+ countries in Latin America, Africa, Asia, and Europe, holding senior roles at institutions such as the IFC, IDB Lab, the UN, NDB, an impact investment asset manager, and in mainstream banking. Henrique has led the structuring and execution of over USD 3 billion in investments across emerging markets, blending financial instruments with technical assistance to foster sustainable development in sectors such as inclusive finance, sustainable infrastructure, clean energy, and regenerative agriculture.

As Head of the Nature Finance Accelerator, a Swiss-based initiative, Henrique spearheads efforts to integrate nature into finance and business. He leads the development of strategy, governance, and a portfolio of pilot projects, working closely with market actors, governments, and international organizations to co-create pragmatic, nature-positive solutions. The mandate of the Nature Finance Accelerator is to contribute to positioning Switzerland as a global leader in nature finance. A firm believer in the business case for a nature-positive economy, Henrique also supports early-stage ventures as an investor and mentor in climate tech and nature tech.
