Dr. Ian Brettell
Policy Director - Crowther Lab, ETH Zurich
With a background in law and genetics, Dr Ian Brettell has joined the Crowther Lab at ETH Zurich to help translate the lab’s global-scale ecological research into real-world outcomes. In 2021, the Crowther Lab spun out the open data platform Restor – the ‘Google Maps for Nature’ – which is designed to accelerate the restoration and conservation of biodiversity for nature, climate and people by equitably distributing capital to local communities worldwide.
