Alfonso Gomez

Administrative Councillor, City of Geneva

Alfonso Gomez is a politician, belonging to the Green Party since 1999. Since 2020, he has been in charge of the Department of Finance, Environment and Housing (DFEL, City of Geneva). Before his role leading DFEL, he was a City Councilor in Geneva for 7 years, where he was a member of the finance commission. He also acted as the financial director of the DIP (Department of Public Education) for the Canton de Genève and of the Popular Conservatory. In his early career, he worked as an auditor and in the humanitarian space, working for the ICRC in Iran, Sudan and the former Yugoslavia.
