Increasing assurance related to sustainability reporting is a must to improve Investors trust and to reduce the risk of greenwashing. The workshop will highlight the key challenges financial institutions are facing when they are gathering external assurance (limited and reasonable) and will provide tips & tricks to best prepare for it.

Cyril Motte

Head of Climate Change and Sustainability Services - EY Switzerland

As the head of Climate Change and Sustainability Services (CCaSS) for Financial Services in Switzerland, Cyril Motte supports organizations in developing and implementing net zero strategy, sustainability processes, reporting and providing extended assurance on non-financial reporting. With over 14 years' experience in auditing and advising Swiss and international financial institutions including leading regulatory projects across various countries (Switzerland, UK and France), he has an extensive experience as a trusted advisor and a recognized auditor in the Financial Services environment. From leading international transformation project, complex audits to the chief of staff position of EY EMEIA leader in London and currently the head of CCaSS for Financial Servies, Switzerland, his versatility, experience and networks brings high value to its clients and teams. Mr. Motte holds a Swiss Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and a master’s degree in finance.

Julian Röger

Sustainability Reporting Program Manager - Swiss Re

In his capacity as Sustainability Reporting Program Manager, Julian is responsible for driving Swiss Re's efforts to build up and further professionalize Sustainability Reporting capabilities globally. This entails developing and implementing the Sustainability Reporting strategy, building up a governance framework and developing the data and technology platform to enable non-financial reporting across Swiss Re Group. Prior to his current role, Julian was Chief of Staff and COO of the Group Legal & Compliance function. Julian holds a master's degree in Business Administration from the Catholic University Eichstätt-Ingolstadt.
