There are very few private investment vehicles dedicated to restoration, sustainable agriculture, and other forms of nature-based solutions. This event will showcase existing and innovative financial mechanisms, investable business models, and successful nature positive investments. It will highlight how barriers are being removed.

Co-Founder - VERTFounder of VERT, Martha De Sa has been in the financial market since 2007, with a strong background in agribusiness and debt capital markets, including structuring and fundraising. With a focus on fostering finance and sustainability, Martha has also been a pioneer in collaborating with fintechs and startups. She has a degree in Business Administration from FGV-SP, with courses at Luigi Bocconi and Grenoble École de Management. Chartered Financial Analyst by CFA Institute and CGE by ANBIMA.
Steven Ripley
Director, Investor Engagement - Sustainable Investment ManagementSteven Ripley has spent his entire professional career (20+ years) working towards creating value for forests. He’s held positions with the United Nations, Global Canopy, IDH Sustainable Trade Initiative and Tesco, as well as a decade working for software firms, developing commodity traceability systems. Steven's lifelong ambition is to work with finance, regulation and trade, to create incentives that maintain production whilst keeping forests standing.

Director of Nature Programmes and GFI Hive - Green finance instituteHelen Avery leads the Institute’s work on supporting the development of a pipeline of investible nature projects and on building investor demand, including advising and supporting the Natural Environment Investment Readiness Fund. The Institute also hosts the Secretariat for the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures and Helen oversees the UK National Consultation Group

Managing Director - AGRI3 FundNicholas Moss is the Managing Director of the AGRI3 fund, a blended finance fund which aims to mobilise USD 1 bn in of public and private finance for sustainable agriculture and forest conservation. AGRI3 is a unique funding vehicle, initiated in partnership with Rabobank, UNEP, IDH and FMO, the fund aims to provide credit enhancement instruments to banks and other financiers to catalyse finance in sustainable land use projects. To date the fund has worked primarily in Brazil, and is currently exploring opportunities in Central America, Asia and Africa.
