Nicolas Salomon

Investment Coordinator - CERN Pension Fund

Nicolas Salomon is part of the Alternative Investments team within the Pension Fund Management Unit of CERN, the European Organization for Nuclear Research, in Geneva, Switzerland, since 2010. CERN’s Pension Fund manages approximately CHF 5 billion in assets. Beyond his investment activities, Nicolas serves on the Finance Committee of the Global Survivors Fund, an international organization founded in 2019 by Nobel Peace Prize laureates Dr. Denis Mukwege and Nadia Murad to strengthen access to reparations for survivors of conflict-related sexual violence. He also serves on the committee of World Bicycle Relief, a global nonprofit organization providing bicycles to people in rural and developing regions to improve access to education, healthcare, employment and economic opportunities. Prior to joining CERN’s Pension Fund, Nicolas was Head of Operations at Bank of China (Suisse) Fund Management SA. Previously, he worked at Cedar Partners, a Geneva-based global macro investment firm. He began his career in 2005 with Bank of New York in Ireland and Jersey. Nicolas holds an MSc in Finance and an MSc in Accounting. He is also a lecturer at the University of Brittany in France, where he teaches courses related to alternative investments.
