Eugenia Carrara

Director of Global Partnerships & Ecosystems - Capital for Climate

Eugenia Carrara is a global ecosystem builder working at the intersection of capital, nature and real-economy transformation. At Capital for Climate, she leads global partnerships and expansion, connecting investors, financial institutions, public and philanthropic capital, project developers and strategic partners to accelerate investment into Nature-based Solutions and climate opportunities across emerging markets.

Her work focuses on building the ecosystems and partnerships needed to move from fragmented opportunities to investable markets — opening new geographies, connecting capital with high-potential projects, and bringing together the actors required to scale nature finance.

Before joining Capital for Climate, Eugenia spent 15 years working across food systems, international policy and global markets. She was Secretary-General of the World Union of Wholesale Markets, representing more than 220 markets across 43 countries, and previously worked at Rungis International Market, the world’s largest wholesale food market. She has also advised the French Presidency and the Mayor of Paris.

Eugenia studied at MIT, France’s École Nationale d’Administration (ENA) and École Normale Supérieure (ENS), and has worked across more than 10 countries.
