Beth Burks is a Director at S&P Global Ratings and leads Market Engagement on sustainable finance. In her role she connects investors, issuers and other stakeholders to our organizational insights so that they can take well-informed decisions with confidence. She is a member of the City of London Corporation’s Transition Finance Council where she works on bringing credibility to the Transition Finance markets. She has worked for over 15 years on research and development of analytical approaches to assessing sustainability including designing assessments of entity-level Climate Transition strategies, TCFD disclosure, Sustainable and Transition bonds and loans, blended finance, and Sustainable Finance more broadly.

Beth is a Vice-Chair on the International Chamber of Commerce’s Global Energy and Environment Commission where she represents Business & Industry in climate finance negotiations at the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change’s conference of parties (UNFCCC COP).
