The session will also showcase how peer benchmarking and comparable evidence can accelerate the financial system’s transition providing actionable insights aligned with global climate finance objectives.

Achieving global climate goals requires clear, verifiable and comparable data for policymakers and the financial sector. This session introduces the Net Zero Finance Tracker (NZFT), an interactive platform tracking the sector’s transition from 2019–2025 and enabling benchmarking across 1,500 financial institutions. CPI assesses progress on target setting, transition-plan implementation and real-economy impact, including project finance, portfolio alignment, and transition and physical risk exposure. The NZFT highlights where finance is supporting—or failing to enable—the shift to a low-carbon, climate-resilient economy, while offering insights into the key drivers shaping the transition.
