Rahel Guggenbühl is the CEO & Founder of reilo – a Swiss Nature Fintech turning nature-based carbon removals into bankable collateral for smallholder finance in the Global South. With 10+ years of entrepreneurial experience across Food Tech, HR Tech, and sustainable finance, and 4+ years of fieldwork in Kenya, Tanzania and Brazil, she has built her career at the intersection of carbon and biodiversity valuation, nature finance, and smallholder finance – working across governments, NGOs, financial institutions, corporations, research institutions, and local communities. Her work is driven by one conviction: that with the right incentive system and risk alignment, nature becomes bankable, smallholder finance gets de-risked and can finally scale – and farmers become the nature stewards this planet urgently needs.
