Christine Wegerich

Chief Legal & Regulatory Officer - goodcarbon

Christine is Chief Legal & Regulatory Officer at goodcarbon, where she leads legal, regulatory, and governance matters for the company’s carbon-market platform. Her recent work includes negotiating international project and supply agreements, co-developing an innovative CO₂ insurance product with Swiss Re, and building a BaFin-compliant framework for a blockchain-based CO₂ trading platform.

Previously, Christine spent more than a decade as a partner at the energy-law boutique Boos Hummel & Wegerich (now BH&W) in Berlin, representing utilities and grid operators in high-stakes regulatory matters – including cases of sector-wide relevance before the German Federal Court of Justice.
She holds a doctorate in law (legal history) from Goethe University Frankfurt. Christine is also a trained systemic coach and co-founder of Strides.
