Nature loss presents a systemic economic risk. The IPBES Business and Biodiversity Assessment provides the first global scientific baseline for how companies depend on and impact nature. It also categorizes methods and tools and outlines action options for Business and Finance – yet a “translation gap” persists between scientific evidence and financial product innovation. This workshop bridges that divide. We bring IPBES authors together with pioneers in nature measurement, banking, PE, and asset management to co-design investment approaches that actually scale.
